Context
As iMedicina’s product evolved, regular feature releases were essential to keep up with user needs. However, many users were unaware of these updates, resulting in low adoption rates for new features.
Challenge
The primary challenge was to efficiently communicate feature updates to users in real-time without adding complexity or disrupting their workflow. Traditional communication methods, such as email, were insufficient to drive immediate action.
Solution
I developed a low-code Central Notification System using Google Tag Manager. This allowed us to push notifications directly to users within the platform whenever new features were released. The solution was highly flexible and scalable, enabling us to notify users without significant development effort. It included in-app messages for real-time updates, promoting new features and encouraging users to engage with the latest functionalities.
Results
The Central Notification System significantly improved feature adoption rates. Users became more aware of new updates, and we saw a measurable increase in interaction with new functionalities. Additionally, the low-code solution minimized resource use, making it a cost-effective way to maintain user engagement and keep users informed.
