Case: iMedicina PRO – A game-changer for the business

Context

I initially joined iMedicina as a Product Designer, but when we identified the need for customized marketing solutions for healthcare professionals, we pivoted towards iMedicina PRO. This required me to step into a Product Owner role, overseeing both product strategy and the design team’s structure.

Challenge

The key challenge was creating an efficient, scalable process for delivering custom websites and marketing materials with high monthly fees. Additionally, I was tasked with hiring and building the design team to meet this demand.

Solution

In my new role, I led the design and execution of iMedicina PRO, overseeing the creation of tailored services for healthcare professionals, such as website design, blogs, and social media management. The success of this pivot allowed us to refine our product development strategy, specifically focusing on feature development to stay competitive with major players in Brazil.

Results

iMedicina PRO became a significant revenue driver, increasing our MRR and solidifying its position in the healthcare market. This strong performance attracted investor attention and played a key role in securing iMed’s first round of funding, led by Cedro Capital​. The additional resources from this raise allowed the company to invest further in product development, ensuring we remained competitive against Brazilian healthcare tech competitors.
